I bought this book by mistake because I thought it was by one of my favourite authors, John Boyne. I quickly realised it was a different J Boyne. Initially disappointed, I quickly got absorbed in the story and really enjoyed it. It's a heart warming tale of a couple's travels around Belgium on a mission to find a particular Clara. The writer has a lovely style that just lets the story flow from incident to incident. It is well written (although the kindle version does have a few grammar/typos in it). So from a mistake to a success, thanks JM Boyne, I enjoyed your novel.Product details

Excellent story about love and the human experience. The story touches on many emotions as it goes on, showcasing all of the aspects of love, with all of the fun and dilemmas of having an unplanned adventure in a foreign country. Great story. Looking forward to what this author has planned next.
Amazing book with such a wonderful and touching story that warms your heart. It touched on every human emotion. As a reader, you can truly relate to the characters. This book is a gem and a page turner. Couldn't wait to read on. Look forward to more books from this author.
A wonderful story of passion and perseverance. Filled with intrigue and whimsy. Laugh, cheer, cry.
You know that it's a good book when you can't put it down. This is a sweet story about love, a journey that changes everyone that crosses its path. The characters seem so real that you feel like you know them, heck, I even want to be one of them when I grow up! They make you laugh, and cry, and even show a glimpse of history with a personal spin on it, showing how it affected those it touched. Some persevered, others crumbled. I hope another story about the main characters is in the works, I can't wait to see what's next...hint, hint.
